Physics, Explained.

That’s it. That’s the goal of this blog: to explain physics to you in what is hopefully both an engaging and a clear manner.

Now I’m making a few assumptions about you that it’s important you know about: I’m assuming that you’re at least a high school or college student (or perhaps an advanced middle school student) and that right now you’re interested in learning algebra-based mechanics*. That second part is what’s really important, though: that you are interested in learning physics. (And it’s ok if the only reason you’re interested is because you need to pass your class! I’m a university physics lecturer; I get it.) Not everyone is going to love physics, so my goal for you is that you leave this blog with at least a neutral feeling towards the subject. Perhaps not a wildly excited feeling, but not scared or hating it either.

So: let’s do this!

*If you are interested in algebra-based electricity & magnetism (E&M) or calculus-based physics, this blog is not currently for you, though some day it will be! But we need to start somewhere, and I’ve chosen to start with algebra-based mechanics.
